LA's 'Stop the Violence March' to Take Place This Weekend

LA-based non for profit organization Women of Watts and Beyond is holding their annual Stop the Violence March this Sat. June 24. The march will be the 14th of its kind and will take place at one of the city’s trendiest spots to eat, Locol, located at 1950 E 103rd St. Los Angeles, CA.

The march is an official city event, with support from city councilman Joe Buscaino and sponsorships from a number of local businesses. The whole block will be shutdown for the festivities following the actual march including a children's zone, carnival, free rides and some of the best food the city has to offer.

The march is intended to bring awareness and an end to all violence within the city and beyond. Whether it is police violence or violence within the community, it needs to stop. If you have a few hours to give this Saturday and you want to play a part in ending violence in the LA-area, come out to Locol for the 14th Annual Stop the Violence March, and make sure your voice is heard. We can all play a part in Seeing LA Prosper.
