#YoThisSlaps no. 15

We've been pretty dormant here at slap for the last month, but this week we return with another 8-song collection of LA music you should've heard. #YoThisSlaps no. 15:
Kee Riche$ - Fuck A Friend feat. Rucci (prod. Radioaktive)
It’s been awhile since Kee Riche$’ last release, but the wait was well worth it. This time he links with another surging LA artist, Rucci out of Inglewood. Produced by Radioaktive, ‘Fuck A Friend’ is Kee’s second release since signing with DJ A-Tron and the first single off the Get Rich LP. It’s a slap with a real west coast feel to it, and it has us excited for the whole project dropping on Black Friday. Listen below:
AzChike - Wicked (prod. Kev4MVP)
It’s no surprise that AzChike’s newest release slaps. As always, he comes with a unique blend of LA and Bay Area hip-hop sounds, from his own delivery to the beat provided by Kev4MVP. ‘Wicked’ has a sinister vibe to it; like it could be used in a gangster Halloween movie or something. Listen below:
$ean Ev - 7039 (prod. ITYB Production)
This song just dropped today, and we can’t stop slapping it. ITYB Production always provides gas for artists to do their thing on, and ean Ev definitely does this beat justice. This Hawthorne rapper sounds better and better each time we hear him. Listen below:
Kleinbomb x EyeKeem - Big 4’s (prod. deyjan)
Autotune rap is an acquired taste (that we love) and both Kleinbomb and EyeKeem have some seriously dynamic control of their vocals. Their styles work extremely well together, and ‘Big 4’s’ has us anxiously waiting for their next collab. Deyjan also murdered this beat. Listen below:
Breadhouse - 500 Days of Autumn
Local music collective BreadHouse has an album dropping soon, and this is the first single off of it. It’s a high energy track with diverse vocals from Breadhouse members, including LJ Hunter. We can’t wait to hear what the entire project is going to sound like. Listen below:
KingRickyyC - Watchuthought (prod. Iamtash x Banbwoi)
KingRickyyC consistently puts out catchy music, and his newest release is some of his best work. Iamtash and Banbwoi team up for a beat that is perfect for KingRickyyC, and he delivers with a combination of infectious flows and melodies. Listen below:
J6sh Solo - You Could Be Happy
J6sh Solo is a hardworking artist who has really come into his own. This song is both positive and light-hearted, yet it still slaps. Produced by himself along with help from K-Los, it’s got all kinds of sounds and an awesome message, plus a mind-blowing breakdown at the end. Listen below:
Lucky Meech - Mirror (video)
Lucky Meech is a seriously slept on artists with some major talent. This song is all about self-reflection, and it’s the perfect introduction to this young rapper. He speaks his mind and doesn’t really care who he offends in the process. That’s always appreciated. Watch below:
