Drakeo The Ruler - Ion Rap Beef feat. 03 Greedo (prod. JoogFTR)
Drakeo The Ruler remains locked up, but the music continues to drop. Last night, he surprised fans with an 03 Greedo collab entitled 'Ion Rap Beef' along with an announcement that their joint album Out The Slums is on the way. This song creeps along with Drakeo addressing the many sneak dissers he encountered during his last stint out of jail. He doesn't drop any names, but presumably he's addressing remarks from RJ and DJ Mustard. He says, "Ion rap beef, I just know techs and drums." 03 hops on the JoogFTR produced record and tightropes the line between rap and singing in a way that only he knows how to pull off. He says, "Ride the fuckin' wave, this ain't a boat ride," creatively proclaiming his importance in today's LA hip hop renaissance -- while others are just along for the ride. This track is just a peek at what these two artists can do together when they have quality production to work with. Out The Slums should be a classic:
