Stacy Money just dropped off his new album LaLaLand, and for fans of melodic auto-tuned rap, it's one of the most complete projects to drop this year. It's an extensive 18-song collection of emotional ballads from the LA-based artist. There's no features at all, just Stacy.
18 seems like a high number of tracks for a project in 2018, and maybe it is too many, but Stacy Money doesn't give a shit. He does music his way, and his fans fuck with him for it.

There's not many mind-blowing moments lyrically with Stacy Money, but he's got stories that we can all relate to. There's love songs, break up songs, party songs and songs about just being yourself and accepting who you are. That's what's so enticing about Stacy's style. It's so easygoing and laid back that you can't say he's trying to be anybody but himself.

The vibes on LaLaLand go back and forth from lonely and depressed to just happy to be alive. Those kind of mood swings come with drug use, which Stacy both confronts and embraces on the project. But, whether you're a user or not, the ups and downs he seems to be experiencing are pretty standard for any 20-something year old living in LA, or anywhere for that matter. If this is your kinda music, Stacy Money is going to be an instant favorite of yours, or maybe he already is. Sometimes it's just about conveying a certain energy, and Stacy seems to be aware of the energy that helps his music thrive. He's got a style that is all his own, and he keeps refining it and adding to his arsenal.

Just because he's melodic, doesn't mean he isn't rapping. Stacy Money bodies some of these songs with flows that would rival even the most traditional MC's. It's just not the focus of his music, and that's okay. Producer credits on LaLaLand go to Captain Crunch, SLIGHT, Xanboy, zJakkies, yung guapo, lvsirs, Corblanco, jaysplash, Dez, ThatBoySlim & RichBoyBeats. There's a lot of different sounds, but they all help Stacy produce the wavy, nonchalant vibes that make his music so easy to listen to. Listen to LaLaLand below:
