#YoThisSlaps no. 3

SLAP's weekly list of LA music you'll be happy we found:
superbrick - I fuck wit myself
superbrick has produced some huge tracks for KYLE, but this time he blesses us with a song about what he can do all by himself. One thing is for sure - he doesn’t need any help making a sick song. Listen below:
Chris O’Bannon - MAKE YA WOO
O’Bannon follows up his ‘TRU COLORS’ EP with a unique reggaeton/r&b track produced by @DaveDashO. O’Bannon is never afraid to push the envelope with his music, and his willingness to mix things up is apparent in this wavy track. Listen below:
nonoyup - peRfumeRiver ~ $nootyfox
nonoyup just dropped his debut project ‘nasty neptunes,’ and it's literally all over the place. This particular track features a ton of live instruments and distorted vocals before completely morphing into a funky new song. This is music that is 100% impossible to label or compare to another artist, and we think that’s pretty cool. Listen below:
wrry - I KNOW feat. Apollo Hill
wrry is a highly-talented, LA-based producer with only a few songs available. He and Apollo Hill make a dynamic team as they deliver a near perfect song with ‘I KNOW.’ Listen below:
Mariama - SubMe
Mariama is a very low-key artist with only two tracks to her name, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t making good music. Her blend of hip hop and r&b is addicting to listen to as she combines solid songwriting with passionate vocals. Listen below:
ACOT - Sat Alone In High School
ACOT is a young rapper/producer out of Placentia (near Anaheim) who has been able to build up a solid buzz for himself.. He tweaks the ‘Beamer, Benz or Bentley’ beat for this high energy micro-track. The dude has command on a mic - hear for yourself:
