If you follow us on Twitter you've probably seen a Kee Riche$ tweet at least a few times. He's a rapper out of Compton who's only been releasing music for a little less than 2 years, although you can't tell by the way he vibes on a track. The dude has the poise and vocal confidence of someone who's on their 8th album.
His style is evolving, too. Kee's most recent single 'Chasing' features some wavy singing to offset the aggressive, yet seemingly easy flow of his raps. The end result is what might be Kee's best song yet. It's definitely the catchiest joint we've ever heard from him.
Check out the track as well as the Chasing: Mini Documentary out now:
Much of his recent music has been produced by JHawk. The two met via Twitter a couple years ago and have been working closely ever since. If you grew up during the jerking craze like we did, JHawk is a very familiar name as someone who is capable of cranking out one slapper after another. His style of production has of course changed quite a bit since then, but you can still hear many of the same sounds that had skinny-jean-wearers dancing in every street in LA back then.

In addition to quality original music, Kee Riche$ knows how to build a following and get looks on Twitter. He's posted video covers of songs from popular artists like SZA, Nas, Nipsey Hussle and others. These remixes have seen over 150 retweets in some cases, getting a ton of plays and really helping Kee reach a bigger audience. It's pretty genius actually, and they make for sick songs of their own. Check out his remix of 'The Weekend' by SZA below:
Kee is currently working on his debut album, Get Rich. His buzz has been on a steady incline, so it will be interesting to see if there will be any features in addition to the three that Kee could confirm: Rucci, Ajay and VonDon. JHawk will definitely make his presence felt when it comes to production, but Kee says he won't be the only one supplying beats for the album. B.Down, Big Boo and Radioaktive will also be contributing. He also said both DJ Bugsy and DJ Atron (RJ's tour DJ) will be playing a big part in the album's release as well. Stay on the lookout for new Kee Riche$... We always are.
