#YoThisSlaps no. 17

#YoThisSlaps is back. Another week, another 8 underground songs that you need to hear.

BossMann - That Guy ft. Rucci (prod. LewisYouNasty)

BassSquad is at it again, with members BossMann and Rucci feeding the streets with another anthem, ‘That Guy.’ The two are notorious for high energy and consistent chemistry on their collabs, and they deliver again on this one. LewisYouNasty provides a serious knocker as well. Listen below:

Kane Grocerys x Dee Gomes - Not Sorry (prod. Lettuce By The Pound)

Kane Grocerys had been relatively quiet for the last month, but he makes a triumphant return on his newest song with Dee Gomes titled ‘Not Sorry.’ The Goth Money Records rapper can always be counted on when it comes to making catchy street music. Dee Gomes makes an ideal counterpart, with melodies that sound perfect on the beat provided by Lettuce By The Pound. Listen below:

Lil Narnia - Is It Over feat. Horsehead (prod. Charlie Shuffler)

LA artist Lil Narnia flies below the radar, but that may change if he continues to make songs as good as this one. With a big-time feature from Gothboiclique’s Horsehead, ‘Is It Over’ could be the track that gets Lil Narnia the exposure he needs to expand his fanbase. ‘Sing sad shit” is the LA singer’s motto, and he does that extremely well on this Charlie Shuffler produced track. Listen below:

Holland Izz & 3Trinzzz - All That (video)

Holland Izz is an artist out of Compton a future that’s as bright as this video. Directed by Jon Psycho, the visual for All That feat. 3 Trinzzz (who kills her feature) is a wildly fun watch and listen for anybody who enjoys good music and positive energy. From the aesthetic to the sound, everything about this video is old school, and we fuckin’ love it. Watch below:

Kalan.frfr - Get It (prod. earthtojustin)

Kalan.frfr is an artist with an addictive delivery and lyrics that are turnt up without sounding watered down. He talks real shit, and he sounds good doing it. Earthtojustin provides the beat for this one, and it has us anxious to hear more collabs from these two young artists. Listen below:

Jinxz - Game Faced

Jinxz is a massively talented songmaker out of Compton who had been quiet for months leading up to his new release ‘Game Faced.’ It’s a self-produced, melody filled song that’s guaranteed to end up stuck in your head. With quality music like this, we hope he’s going to be dropping more soon. Listen below:

Abnormal Area - Blackout (prod. sadbalmain)

Abnormal Area recently dropped a project titled DEMONWORLDRADIO VOL. 1, and this track produced by sadbalmain is a standout for sure. Abnormal pushes the boundaries of multiple genres, mingling hip-hop subject matter and lyrics with an intense, heavy metal esque style. It’s definitely out there, but we’re rocking with it. Listen below:

Gary Bandana - Smoov (prod. Paupa)

Gary Bandana’s newest song is a club banger with quality bars and a radio-worthy hook that’ll be on repeat in your head after listening. Produced by Paupa, it’s a high quality track from the beat to the mixing. Gary Bandana is a young, raw artist with a lot of room to grow. If his potential is reached, he’s going to be a force in LA hip-hop.

That's it for this week. Tune in next week for another collection of some of LA's most slept-on underground music. Submit music to us via Twitter DM's or email @ slapmediala@gmail.com
