There's something to be said about dudes who can flat out rap. It's not in every hip hop artists arsenal anymore, but when you hear it - you recognize it instantly, and you appreciate it. Trizz is one of those dudes that gets your head nodding the moment he starts spitting. It's instant vibes every time, and his talent and confidence on the mic is something you have to acknowledge. His latest effort 90 Goin West is a five song collection of classic flips such as Snoop Dogg's 'Gz And Hustlaz' & Ice Cube's 'What Can I Do.' It takes major skills to tackle such iconic records. You hardly ever hear a remix like these that are competing with the originals, but Trizz kicks shit as if he was recording with these guys back then. The flows are crisp, and penetrating to the ear. You never have trouble understanding what he says or means because his annunciation is up there with the best of them. Think Kurupt meets Jay Rock... or something along those lines. The songs are mixed, but only to sharpen his already precise vocals. There's no fancy shit, no doubles -- just bars. Not to mention, he did this whole project in one night without premeditating its release. This is a surprise that we didn't know we wanted, but now that we have it we're fiending for more music like this. Hopefully we get it soon. Listen below:
