Introducing #SLAP7, our weekly playlist of seven LA tracks that need some more love.

Joey Vatolee - Can’t B feat. JuggBoiicy & Memo (prod. SammytheP)

This is the first we’ve heard from Joey Vatolee, and we’re hyped that we stumbled across him. He, JuggBoiicy & Memo link on a thumping SammytheP beat on their new song ‘Can’t B.’ You can hear some Shoreline Mafia influence on this one, but with a more sinister tone. With the mixture of their dope music and ridiculously funny videos on Instagram, these dudes can pop in 2018. Listen below:

Earl Swavey - Street Money feat. Tiny E & Heto (prod. Omega & Paupa)

Earl Swavey, Tiny E & Heto collab on this active track with heavy West Coast vibes. Omega & Paupa supply the instrumental, giving these artists the perfect platform for them to shine. ‘Street Money’ is ruthless & catchy. Listen below:

Lashaun Ellis - The Plan

LA’s Lashaun Ellis is a skilled songmaker, and his newest track ‘The Plan’ is some of his best work. Smooth melodies and a standout hook make it an easy addition to the rotation. Listen below:

Armani Jay - After All prod. Charlie Shuffler & Lettuce By The Pound

We love a good autotune rap song here @ SLAP, and Armani Jay’s new joint ‘After All’ is exactly that. Produced by Charlie Shuffler & Lettuce By The Pound, it’s a melodic banger with a slappin’ bassline. Listen below:

King RickyyC x CAGLD - Nothing New prod. ThatBoySlimm

Simple yet slappin’. This catchy collab from King RickyyC & CAGLD is a harmonic song with a hook that’ll stick in your head all day. The two artists’ styles are similar and gel very well on this one. S/O to King RickyyC for creating our #SLAP7 template too! Listen below:

Lil Curry - Tell Me Now

Long Beach artist Lil Curry isn’t afraid to take some risks vocally, and that willingness to be a little out there makes his new song ‘Tell Me Now.’ It’s emotional without being corny. We fuck with it. Listen below:

KingRikoX - Bagpipe

The one man show known as KingRikoX is mad talented, and his newest release ‘Bagpipe’ is way too slept on. The rapper/producer is aggressive on this on, with a distinct sound to his vocals and production. The Cartman sample goes stupid hard too. Listen below:
